Campus Church is a local church who shares a common priority of following Jesus Christ, believing that the local church is the tool created by God by which He reveals himself to the world. We are located in the heart of the Plaza District of Oklahoma City, collaborating also with other churches in the downtown area.
Our mission as a church is to simply fulfill the expectations of Jesus as he left his parting words with His disciples: "Go throughout the entire globe making radical followers of me, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I have taught you."
(Matt.28:19-20)
Our strategy is to facilitate life-on-life relationships to challenge, equip, and release young adults to actively engage in Jesus’ mission, specifically as we serve fatherless youth, local artists, and international students here in Oklahoma City.
Campus Groups meet in homes during the week for prayer, encouragement, Biblical training, and fellowship. Each group also serves a specific area of need in the community. Visit the Groups page for more info about each group and their missional focus.
We celebrate together as a whole church on a weekly basis because we are serving together and witnessing the power of God in our lives throughout the week. Service starts at 11:00 a.m. each Sunday, followed by a community meal for those who wish to stay. Visit the Contact page for our address and directions.
MEET THE STAFF
LEAD PASTOR: Kenny Deason
Kenny began following Jesus at age 20. After this life transforming moment, Kenny worked with youth, homeless communities, prisons, and college students. Kenny, and his wife Jamie, have lived in Chicago, Austin, San Francisco, Ft. Collins CO, and OKC. Kenny and Jamie have 6 kiddos and love family life. Through pastoral mentoring relationships and in '96 church planting training with Evanstan Vineyard of Chicago, Kenny began taking on pastoral responsibilities as well as the development of missional communities in homes.

Administrative Coordinator: Meredith Pyle
Meredith has loved getting involved with campus church over the past few years! Originally from Houston, Texas, she attended Baylor University and is currently a graduate music theater student at Oklahoma City University. Besides helping out behind the scenes, you may see Meredith singing with the praise team from time to time. She loves to cook, eat, laugh, and walk with the Lord!
Missional Intern: Jamie Growe
Jamie began ministry in OKC after meeting the Deasons in 2005 while attending the University of Oklahoma. After graduation she taught 4th grade at Gatewood Elementary and grew to love the people of OKC even more. She is now taking a year off from teaching to pursue missions training and service full-time with an expectation to see Jesus more glorified locally and abroad. Jamie enjoys a good adventure and will pack herself in your suitcase for the chance to travel to new places, so beware!
